Pick whatever you like at LéLé in Østerbro – Two artists have curated a space unlike any other in the city, and their design-driven coffee bar/vintage shop hybrid has caused a viral stir

Not only can you sip coffee and eat baked goods from Københavns Bageri in LéLé’s Space Age and Bauhaus furnishings, you can buy it, too. Looking to explore new creative ventures, the two co-founders and multidisciplinary artists were determined to create a unique space for guests to interact with furniture. The result? A curatorial coffee shop and vintage store that is as tasty as it is picturesque, drawing in design aficionados and creatives from all over. LéLé has made a name for itself as both a cozy spot for a coffee + bun with friends and a must-visit destination for unique retro finds.

+ ABOUT

Anything that comes easy gets boring to co-owners and couple Signe Modin and Max Lebrun. Opened last summer, LéLé is the manifestation of the aesthetic and artistic values of the two artists and curators. Signe and Max work closely with trusted dealers in Spain, France, Italy, and Denmark to bring unique finds to the city’s vintage market. Every piece tells a story – from the stained windowpane installed in the coffee bar, sourced from a bee farm in Berlin, to the set of historical Falcon chairs, designed by Norwegian designer Sigurd Ressell. This buzzing venture exemplifies the importance of good design in hospitality.
