Rolex combo with fries and a soft drink at UGood on Jægersborggade – Head to this fan favorite and feast on the flavors of Uganda without catching a flight
Ask for a ‘rolex’ in Uganda and what you get might surprise you! The country's most popular street food is spelled like the watch brand but is actually something much tastier. Its name comes from ‘rolled eggs’ which get wrapped inside a grilled chapati flatbread with fresh veggies and secret sauce. Because the world's first rolex joint outside of Africa is located in Copenhagen, you don’t have to travel too far to get a taste. With honors from the King of Uganda, the Audience Award at Street Food om Søerne, and a feature in Politken’s Cheap Eats List, these unique flavors are on everyone’s radar. It’s worth the trip to try them for yourself – no passport required.

As soon as you step in, it’s hard not to smile. The walls are hand-painted, flatbreads are being flipped on the grill, and the hip-hop music playing from the speakers might even be one of the owner’s own tracks. UGood’s founder and head chef, Sylvester Bbaale, has a background in music, and his approach to producing songs shines through in his cooking – vibrant, creative, and balanced, where distinct elements come together in perfect harmony. The origins are authentic, but this is a new riff on traditional Ugandan cuisine you can’t find anywhere else.
