Restaurant Calma has captured the hearts and tastebuds of Copenhageners ever since it opened earlier this year, and now, they’ve teamed up with Sicilian young guns Giusseppe Condorelli and Roberto Fonte to take the reins at Connie-Connie. Located alongside the Copenhagen Contemporary in Refshaleøen, this newly revamped café promises Italian-inspired dishes, hyper-local ingredients, and an artsy, laid-back atmosphere. Start your day with a coffee and croissant while taking a stroll along the waterfront, grab a light lunch after enjoying an exhibition, or sip natural wine and soak up some afternoon sun on the patio. Stunning aesthetics and stellar food make Connie-Connie a must-visit.
WHAT YOU GET
Pick whatever you like at Connie-Connie. Bite into a buttery croissant, or enjoy a yogurt bowl with pumpkin seed granola, strawberries, and seasonal jam. Go for a caprese salad with creamy stracciatella, chopped dates, and basil. Taste sea bass carpaccio with fresh peaches, fennel and radish crudité, peach vinaigrette, and dill. Savor sauteéd oyster mushrooms with hummus, herby chimichurri, feta cheese, and kalamata olives, or get grilled red pepper and white bean spread with balsamic vinegar and pangrattato. Everyone loves a good glow-up and there’s great news going around: Connie-Connie was recently renovated and re-launched by the restaurant Calma team. Specially developed dishes for the café comprise a menu that reads like a ‘Best of Copenhagen’ list – mushrooms from their neighbors at BYGAARD, seasonal vegetables from Øens Have, baked goods delivered daily by Il Buco, handmade ice cream from Det Vide Hus, and more. Plus, To Øl beer flows from the taps and Rosforth & Rosforth curates their natural wine list. Even the art on the walls has been hand-selected and borrowed from Danish galleries. Connie-Connie is back and better than ever.
