8-course menu at Yaffa in City Center – They’ve brought new life to the Gråbrødretorv food scene with a modern take on Middle Eastern cuisine

The menu has clear ties to Middle Eastern cuisine, but the flavors take you on a tour all around the Mediterranean Sea. Originally inspired by London-based chef Yottam Ottolenghi’s iconic cooking style, Yaffa brought something entirely new to the Copenhagen food scene when it arrived in 2019. It also reenergized Gråbrødretorv, which has since become a desirable location for other noteworthy restaurants. The chefs at Yaffa use seasonal Danish ingredients to create modern dishes with rich historical roots in one of Copenhagen’s most historic squares.

WHAT YOU GET

Enjoy an 8-course menu at Yaffa. The menu is chef’s choice, so dishes rotate regularly and reflect the best produce of the season. To start, feast on a round of mezze featuring housemade grilled flatbread. Taste varying dips and snacks, such as smoky labneh with zhoug, beetroot hummus, dukkah-roasted almonds, and arancini topped with harissa. Next, try sea bass tartare with crispy papadum, green chili, and spring onion. Eat a fresh fattoush-style salad, then savor flame-grilled chicken with couscous, muhammara, and brown butter carrots. For dessert, bite into freshly baked baklava served with vanilla ice cream, lemon zest, and hazelnut oil.
