A pastry-packed recap of the 2025 Fastelavn Bun Run
Here in Copenhagen, we love to run and we love Fastelavn buns. Our first-ever Fastelavn Bun Run was pretty epic proof that plenty of people are willing to run for their buns. With only 100 spots up for grabs, nearly 8.000 runners entered the lottery to join the fast-paced feast. Some were seasoned runners while others had never gone for more than a 4-kilometer jog. No matter what, everyone showed up for the half marathon with a healthy appetite and heaps of good vibes.
And, we never would have guessed that half the world would be watching! Media outlets everywhere from Vietnam and Australia to Hawaii have reported on our Fastelavn Bun Run. Not only was the half marathon a blast but it was also a run with a purpose. We’re super proud to have shined a light on Copenhagen’s best bakeries and the creativity they unleash during the Fastelavn season.
