Slurp Ramen Joint is opening a second location in Copenhagen City Center – Become part of the Slurp story forever

‘After 7 years of serving the most soulful ramen around, we’re ready to take the next big leap. With a full restaurant every night, our little ramen shop has become a community favorite. Now, it's time to bring our unique and heartwarming flavors to more people by opening a second location, and we want you to be a part of it.’ – Philipp Inreiter
+ WHAT IS CO-FOUNDER

Tipster Co-Founder is a crowdfunding platform designed for the food and beverage scene. By backing a Co-Founder project, you become part of a community that helps ambitious entrepreneurs kick-start new ventures, plus you gain access to off-menu experiences and exclusive perks as soon as they open.

THE STORY OF SLURP

A line out the door since day one. Hot soups that touch your soul. Bouncy noodles in every bowl.

Slurp started as an idea brewing in the mind of a young, nomadic Austrian chef named Philipp Inreiter. A position in the kitchen at Noma drew him to Denmark, and when he felt the pull to explore the world once more, he set his sights on Japan.

After working for two years at the 3-star Michelin restaurant RyuGin in Tokyo, Philipp returned to Copenhagen. He realized Denmark was in serious need of ramen, but not just any ramen – the kind that’s crafted with intense broths, fresh noodles, and devastatingly delicious toppings.

He opened the doors to Slurp in 2017 and the city has been decidedly more umami-rich ever since. Some would say it’s the best ramen outside of Japan, and people from all over Copenhagen and around the world travel to their shop to get a taste.

‘HELLO RAMEN LOVERS’

A SECOND LOCATION IN CITY CENTER

For years, the Slurp team has dreamed of opening a second location and dishing out even more incredible bowls of ramen. The new location on Borgergade is the first step in making that dream a reality.

The shop is expected to open at the end of October. Funds raised through the Co-Founder project will go towards purchasing equipment, renovating the interior, training new staff, and ongoing operational expenses.

For Slurp, this crowdfunding project is not just about opening another location; it's about strengthening their bonds with the community and inviting guests to become a part of their growing family.

WHY CROWDFUNDING

The restaurant industry comes with plenty of challenges, especially in regards to financing. In most cases, traditional financing options are inaccessible for food entrepreneurs, which is why many turn to private investors or larger restaurant groups.

Small, independent businesses play a crucial role in local communities by enriching diversity in what a city has to offer. Crowdfunding projects allow entrepreneurs to raise funds with a supportive community behind them, without compromising their values and purpose. This approach is particularly well-suited to those who put passion before profit.

Maybe you wish for a new location of your favorite restaurant right in your neighborhood. Or, you’re a big fan of a local chef and want to see them shine in a place of their own. Perhaps you’ve dreamt up a culinary concept yourself and need the financial backing to bring it to life. When you take part in funding new business ventures in your community, you get a say in how your local food and beverage scene develops.
